Here are 45 Love to Read fiction guides as a free download for schools & families. Pitched at ages 7-11 but appropriate for KS3, the guides focus on a classic or modern well-loved text. Examples include Holes, The Demon Dentist, The Hundred and One Dalmations, Goodnight Mr Tom, The Iron Man, Stormbreaker and Pig Heart Boy.
Each guide offers lots of ideas for independent, group and teacher-led reading activities. These include discussion points, writing and creative response tasks, exploring and identifying key themes.
