Birch Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School in rural Essex began using Target Tracker after its initial release as they felt it offered “a very sophisticated system” to track assessment and attendance data.
“Target Tracker allows schools to create reports for various audiences and shows who is doing what, when and why.” explains Kate, “It gives me all the information I need as a headteacher. Understanding pupils is essential, and heads are constantly watching to see if they are engaged with their learning so that they can celebrate successes and identify, then support, any who may be struggling.”
Target Tracker lets schools work collaboratively, with access to the most up-to-date information. With simple, time-saving assessment entry tools and multiple ways to view data, Target Tracker creates comprehensive tailored reports that highlight whether pupils are above, below or meeting expectation. “The most important thing for schools to do is to use the technology at their disposal to its full capability,” concludes Kate, “Target Tracker allows schools to monitor how monitored progression translates to what’s really important: the learning and progression of pupils.”
