This free pack has been designed to support home learning for EAL pupils due to the Coronavirus. Providing up to 4 weeks of work, the packs cover topics from storytelling and literacy to geography and UK culture. There is even an EAL pupil podcast opportunity so that pupils can practise their English speaking skills at home.

To get the most out of home learning for EAL, each pack offers a ‘plan’ page at the beginning. Instructions have been designed to be parent-friendly, brief and easy for both parents and pupils to follow. We have also suggested one challenge task for each resource to stretch learners beyond the main task.

These resources provide great support for families for whom English is an additional language during this difficult time. These packs are easy to access, colourful and engaging, cover some important topics such as staying healthy and the world around us and best of all free!
Terri Cawser, EAL Lead, Birmingham Pupil and School Support
FlashAcademy resources, which are specifically designed to cater for EAL students across the proficiency spectrum, are essential to supporting students in their home learning. They can also be accessed in English and are therefore the perfect tool to support SEN students with their literacy too.
Hollie O Sullivan, Head of EAL, Great Barr Academy
I am convinced that, in these very challenging times for families and schools, access to the 400 free resources available from FlashAcademy is helping children, young people and Carers who require independent learning for their EAL , MFL or Literacy needs.
Andrew Wright, Head Teacher, Dudley Virtual School for Children In Care
We’ve had great feedback bout the home schooling packs FlashAcademy produced at the start of the school closures. We have added these to our home learning website, we are finding that it is proving particularly successful to those children that have EAL.
Tayce Mason, Assistant Head & Inclusion Manager, Woodhouse Primary Academy
